Who we are

A Nepali hydropower company built for the long term

Sasha Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. is an independent power producer dedicated to harnessing Nepal's abundant river systems responsibly - from feasibility studies through construction and decades of operation.

We focus on projects that are technically sound, environmentally careful, and genuinely beneficial to the districts that host them. Hydropower, for us, is a way to keep energy generation local, reduce reliance on imported fuel, and reinvest in the mountain communities whose rivers make it possible.

  • Run-of-river design with a minimal reservoir footprint
  • Local employment and vocational skills training
  • A long-term operations and maintenance commitment

What we do

Clean energy, from river to grid

Three things shape every project we take on - responsible generation, reliable delivery, and a real partnership with the places we operate in.

Run-of-river generation

We design low-impact plants that work with the natural flow of Himalayan rivers rather than damming them, keeping environmental disruption to a minimum.

Grid integration

Our projects connect to Nepal's national grid, strengthening domestic supply, easing seasonal shortfalls, and supporting the shift away from imported energy.

Community partnership

Every project is built alongside local stakeholders, with shared-benefit programs covering electrification, education, and livelihood support.

Sustainability

Energy that respects the mountains it comes from

Responsible hydropower means looking after the river, the catchment, and the people downstream - through construction and across the full life of the plant.

Environmental stewardship

Continuous monitoring of river flow, water quality, and aquatic habitat throughout construction and operation.

Community investment

A share of revenue reinvested in local schools, health posts, and rural electrification programs.

Local employment

Priority hiring and vocational training for residents of the districts that host our projects.

Watershed protection

Reforestation and slope-stabilisation programs that protect catchment areas and reduce erosion.
